Year R's Trip to The Look Out Discovery Centre
Year R had a wonderful day out for their class trip last week. As part of their Summer term topic, the children have been learning about Minibeasts and were very excited to learn more about them during a very interesting talk from staff at The Look Out Discovery Centre. The children went out into the forest on a Minibeast hunt and then had the opportunity to play outside in the play area and on the trim trail!
It was an exceptionally hot day, so the children headed inside to explore more of the exciting activities The Look Out's Science Exhibition has to offer. There were different 'zones' of learning which included a large jigsaw of the human body, an interactive sandbox and giant keyboard which they could play music on.
The children discovered the DCT Lab where they explored the magnetic wall and made their creations fly high into the air on the wind table. As you can see from the pictures, the children also had lots of creative fun in the 'Build It!' zone too!
