GLF Schools
Welcome to GLF Schools
We are proud to be part of GLF Schools, a Multi-Academy Trust comprising 43 schools and educating over 19,000 children and young adults. Each GLF school is connected to a wider network of schools, professionals and resources, while retaining its own identity, values, and leadership.
The GLF Schools Support Team works closely with every school in the Trust, offering expert advice and support across a range of areas, including Education, Finance, Estates, Business and Operations, PR and Marketing, and Governance. With these central support functions, resources can be deployed effectively to meet the specific needs of each school.
Education
At GLF Schools, the Education Team plays a vital role in supporting our family of schools to deliver the highest standards of teaching, learning and pupil experience. Working in partnership with Headteachers and school-based staff, the team brings together experienced specialists in curriculum design, inclusion, assessment, early years, and school improvement.
Their role is to help schools share best practice, use evidence-informed approaches, and make sure every child – regardless of background or ability – is supported to grow, learn and flourish. The team also helps schools prepare for Ofsted inspections, provides professional development for staff, and ensures that the Trust’s educational vision is consistently applied in all settings.
Estates
The Estates Team at GLF Schools works to ensure that our school environments are safe, well-maintained, sustainable and inspiring places to learn and work. From day-to-day facilities management and maintenance to long-term planning and capital investment works, the team supports schools with site compliance, health and safety, improvement projects, and emergency response as well as reducing our environmental impact.
Whether upgrading classrooms, improving accessibility, or enhancing outdoor learning spaces, the Estates Team works to ensure that every site reflects the high standards we hold for education and pupil wellbeing.
IT
The IT team at GLF Schools provides the infrastructure and support that powers modern teaching, learning, and school operations. From classroom devices and secure networks to online learning platforms and digital safeguarding systems, our IT specialists ensure that technology works seamlessly across all schools.
They also provide guidance on emerging tools like AI, protect against cyber threats, and help staff and students use technology confidently and safely – all while keeping systems efficient, responsive, and future-ready.
People
Our People team plays a central role in attracting, supporting, and developing the exceptional staff who make our schools thrive. They lead on recruitment, HR advice, wellbeing, professional development, and policies that support a positive and inclusive culture across all schools.
The team also helps leaders grow their teams, manages fair and consistent employment practices, and champions career progression – making GLF a place where staff feel valued and where children benefit from confident, committed professionals in every classroom.
Finance
The GLF Finance team works closely with each school and across the Trust to improve the accuracy of financial planning, giving schools greater financial certainty. Despite the financial challenges faced by schools nationwide, the finance team has been dedicated to helping each school secure the best value for money. A key part of this is the work of our Procurement team, who have played a crucial role in pooling resources across the Trust.
By purchasing high-quality materials and supplies in bulk, they are able to secure lower prices for each school. This not only enables us to provide resources that might otherwise be out of reach, but also allows us to reinvest the savings directly back into our classrooms, benefiting the children who need it most.
Marketing and Communications
Our Marketing and Communications teams work closely with all GLF schools to help share the exciting news and events happening within each school. We promote school activities on the GLF website and through our social media channels. In addition, we partner with an external PR agency to help spread the word about our schools' achievements in local and national media, ensuring that the great work happening at our schools reaches a wider audience.
The GLF Schools' Foundation
The GLF Schools’ Foundation supports the opportunities of children and students within GLF Schools through funding directed in three key areas: Projects, Programmes and People Awards. The Foundation provides opportunities for all students to have exposure to life experiences removing financial barriers and helping children to fulfil their potential.
The Foundation focuses on 10 priority areas – Literacy & Oracy, Community & Public Service, Numeracy, Academia, The Arts, Sports, Environment & Sustainability, Technology & Innovation, Careers & Work Experience and Entrepreneurship.
We are proud to be values-led, ambitious for every pupil, and focused on doing what works for schools.
