Lest-we-forget…

Yesterday, at the eleventh hour, on the eleventh day, of the eleventh month, pupils and staff at Pine Ridge and Lorraine schools observed a two minute silence in honour of Armistice Day.  This day marks the end of World War I and is a time when we remember all the servicemen and women who have fought for their country and all those who sadly lost their lives.

The children were very proud to lay the poppies they had made in a wreath during the assemblies held on such a poignant occasion.

Pine Ridge and Lorraine have also been selling poppies and other items in support of this year's Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
