Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebrations at Pine Ridge and Lorraine
On Wednesday, the children at Pine Ridge and Lorraine Infant Schools celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in style with a fun packed day full of activities, a celebratory lunch and a parade around the school grounds. They all came dressed in their best party outfits or something that was red, white or blue.
Bunting adorned the entrances to our schools, the balloons were out and the flags were flying for this special day! A short ceremony was held to commemorate this historic occasion with beautiful Cherry trees being planted at both schools. A special plaque to remember the Queen's Platinum Jubilee was placed alongside each tree.
The day was packed with activities which included crown making, biscuit decorating and lots of party games. As you can see, the children and staff all had a wonderful time!
