Some Forest School Skills are Tricky to Master!
Last week in Forest School, the children made their own tongs from a single piece of wood. They used the skills they had already learnt including using a mallet and a peeler to create and craft them. Once made, they were used to pick up small items around the forest. Some children made a collection of items in the den. Mrs Melham even found hers useful to safely transfer the cotton wool onto the fire after the children had lit it using the firesteel.
