GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

World Book Day 2025 at Pine Ridge & Lorraine

Yesterday, the children at Pine Ridge and Lorraine dressed up as their favourite book character for World Book Day.  This annual celebration of authors, illustrators, books and the joy of reading is one of the highlights of the year.  From amazing characters like the Cat in the Hat to Little Red Riding Hood, Superheroes to Princesses, they all looked fabulous!  They proudly paraded around the hall to show off their amazing costumes.  Every child was given a World Book Day voucher which they can use towards the purchase of a new book!

Our wonderful caterers also provided a themed World Book Day lunch which was enjoyed by all the children!

Parents and carers were invited into our schools to read with their child in the afternoon.  It was lovely to welcome so many of you into our schools and we thank you for your continued support!
