GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

World Book Day 2026 at Pine Ridge & Lorraine!

On Thursday last week, the children and staff at Pine Ridge & Lorraine Infant Schools & Nurseries took part in World Book Day by coming to school dressed as their favourite book character.

This annual celebration of authors, illustrators, books and the joy of reading is one of the highlights of the year.  From amazing characters like the Cat in the Hat to Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, Oompa Loompas to princesses, they all looked fabulous!  They proudly paraded around the hall to show off their amazing costumes.

Every child received a World Book Day voucher which they can use towards the purchase of a new book.  We thank you for your wonderful, continued support!
