Building English Skills and Discovering Animal Habitats in Year 2

Milway Class and Gravett Class have had an excellent start to the new term.  They have been ambitious explorers, learning about animals and their habitats across the wider curriculum.

In English, they have been practising using apostrophes for contractions and the possessive apostrophe to write sentences, getting them ready for story writing.

In maths, we have been using our times table facts for the 2s, 5s and 10s to apply to problem-solving and work with money.

There have also been some strange mysteries in school... that only seem to impact Year 2.  It started with a strange video message from Cordelia Crystaline about a mysterious gardener who likes stories.  Apparently, he needs our help!  With lots of thieving bees involved, green glitter, tiny gardening tools and even wellington boots, it seems that Year 2 is set for an adventurous term.  Remember to keep your eyes peeled!
