Spring Has Sprung! Children Spot Seasonal Changes All Around

This week in Percival and Byron, we introduced the children to the season of spring.  We explored the key differences between spring and winter, thinking about how the weather, plants, and animals begin to change.  The children headed out on an exciting investigation walk, looking for real signs of spring around us.

Back in class, the children studied real daffodils, using careful observation to draw them in detail.  We also revisited our Months of the Year song, helping us remember where spring sits in the year.  To top it all off, we were lucky enough to enjoy some warm spring sunshine - another lovely sign that the new season is approaching!
